Newbury Pride was first thought of by a group friends in a local pub which is now one of the main LGBTQ+ venues in Newbury over a few drinks in back in 2019. Like everyone else in the world Covid shut us down, but that didnt stop us. We went online, we worked out how to use Zoom we planned for when the world opened up we would celebrate with Newbury’s very first Pride.
We are now starting to plan for 2024 hoping to make it the best one yet! We also have events happening monthly in the local community.
who are we?
Newbury Pride is ran by a dedicated group of volunteer committee members who meet every 2 weeks to discuss and organise the event. The committee is lead by a wonderful group of trustees.
